This underground tunnel complex stretches 250km over three levels and took 25 years to build. Started in the late 1940s by the Viet Minh and then Viet Cong, it housed up to 10,000 people and contained operation rooms, hospitals, living quarters and kitchens with motor cycle engine and bicycle run the generators for power. The system connected by tunnels that are only two foot wide, and five foot high, with thick roofs capable of withstanding the weight of tanks or the impact of bombs. The deepest level is around 10m in the ground. Smoke was dispersed into surrounding jungle to hide the location of the tunnels. Air filters, airtight covers, booby traps and sentries were all part of the system.

You will have around 2 hours walking around for sightseeing and explore the tunnel system including a try of getting though small tunnels. Here you can also imagine what it was like to be a guerrilla with firing Russian Carbine AK 47 (optional). In the late afternoon journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.
